Interlaken is a Swiss town, located on flat alluvial land called Bödeli between two lakes, Brienz to the east and Thun to the west. It is an important and well-known tourist destination in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps, and the main transport gateway to the mountains and lakes of that region.
It is the highest peak in Europe and the most fascinating landscape in the Bernese Oberland. It is known as the “Queen of the Alps”. Jungfrau is 4158 meters above sea level and 18 kilometers across the river. It is like a young girl, dressed in long hair, wrapped in silver, lying on the back between the clouds.
Located in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland, Wengen belongs to the municipality of Lauterbrunnen. The village is poised high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley at 1,274 m altitude, yet at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains. Wengen is a member of the Jungfrau Region Tourism Association – as is the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Eiger is a 3,967-metre mountain of the Bernese Alps, overlooking Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Oberland of Switzerland, just north of the main watershed and border with Valais. The most notable feature of the Eiger is its nearly 1,800-metre-high north face of rock and ice, named Eiger-Nordwand, Eigerwand or just Nordwand, which is the biggest north face in the Alps.
The new Eiger Express tricable car will take you from Grindelwald to the Eiger Glacier station in just 15 minutes. With a direct transfer option, you will be on the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe and on the slopes 47 minutes faster than before.
